Targeting audiences and demographics. You are never too old, well, in most circumstances. The same applies to youth though…
The desire to get better and improve and working hard at it. The will and desire to change it.
Try, fail, try, fail. Who cares where others are, be happy for them while not dwelling or becoming bitter about your position in life. Strive and you can achieve. Seriously.
When I was 20 I thought everyone older than me that wasn’t a parent with plenty of cash had failed. I judged people endlessly. Why? The naivete that youth boasts allows people to assume how easy it is to avoid the traps and pitfalls of life. It believes you won’t get stuck in something repetitive, or be lazy and follow down the wrong path. It assumes it knows best, until it gets some life experience.
In my late 30’s now I’m well aware of the time I’ve spent and what I’ve spent doing with it. Have I made mistakes? Yes. Would I do it all over again the same way with hindsight? No. Do I have regrets? Yes, but I don’t dwell on them because there’s no point and it won’t improve upon anything. Instead I try my best (try being the operative word) to create and stick to the new goals I now have. That includes the catching up I have to do.
You are never too old
Point blank. Unless it’s a biological clock issue (which these days can have attempts to push), many things don’t have a real time restriction aside from those we perceive to be there. We have a tendency to assume that you have to grow old gracefully, that you’re no longer accepted at concerts or you can’t play certain games. That’s just not true. You can do whatever you want as long as it isn’t against someone else’s consent.
Goals are a major thing. Why not learn a language or skill? Yes, it takes time and yes, you may have other obligations. So what? Work around them. Find a way through. Don’t make excuses and hang up life because you’re no longer 21. It’s your choice. Every action is your choice. Make the right one and start something that’s important to you or makes you or others happy. It’s worth it.
You’re never too young
Actually, yeah, you sort of are in some cases. But in terms of learning or developing skills like language or sports of programming, you can start whenever. The more time you spend on developing a skill as with when you’re older, the better you’ll become at it. Perfection takes practice, and even then it won’t be reached. Try anyway. Try again. And again. And, yes, again.
